Full of What?

I’ve met plenty of people in my life. Some were full of, well let’s just say, “hot air”. They floated in their lofty ego like a balloon with a basket full of themselves.

Thank God I’ve met others who filled themselves with God’s love, mercy, and grace.

Here is what God’s word says to us,

Once your minds were completely in the dark. But now you belong to the Lord. As a result, you have become full of light. So, now you must live as people who belong to the light. The light helps you to live in a way that is good, right and true.
Ephesians 5:8‭-‬9 EASY

Remember that I have told you to do this. So be strong and do not be afraid. Do not be weak but be brave. I, the Lord your God, will be with you, everywhere that you go.’
Joshua 1:9 EASY

So many things in life are a matter of perspective, perception, and priorities.

Light of Life

Day 2 of the @YouVersion plan ‘The Lighthouse‘. Inspired the following.

In John chapter 10:10 NIV, Jesus says this, “The thief (satan) comes to steal and kill and destroy – But I (Jesus Christ) come so that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” Jesus said to the disciples, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

As sure as there are stars in the sky and wind that blows throughout the year, there will be troubles…there will be temptations and trials. Yet, just as the oceans span miles upon miles, beyond the distance that eyes can see; the Father’s love for you spans beyond that for His children!

He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the way, the truth, and the life.

He was sent to save the children of God.

In His role as The Way, Jesus shines brightly as our Beacon of Hope, like a lighthouse in a safe harbor, while we are amid these troubled waters.

He is shining Light upon the path that we are to follow, directing us home every step of the way.

So, how does one find the Beacon? We must choose in our hearts to seek God first and accept the salvation that Jesus Christ provides us through His sacrifice.

We must choose to turn away from all temptations in full repentance of any and all sins given into and with a submissive and sorrowful heart.

Draw near to God and He will draw near tp you.

We ask for His forgiveness in Jesus Christ, our Beacon.

Then, we choose to follow the Beacon, daily choosing (sometimes moment by moment) to seek God and His cleansing and renewing Light.

That Light is shining as a Beacon before us while we also reject evil and abhor that which is sinful and of this world that lurks in the dark waters.

We are slaves to sin, no more, through the blood of Jesus Christ.

In Him, we have Hope.

In Him, we find His strength to overcome.

In Him, we are a new creation. The old things have passed away – Behold the new has come!

In Him, we find the Light of life!

Stagger but still stand

A Psalmist wrote,

You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.
Psalms 60:3‭-‬4 NIV

You have been very hard on us, making us drink wine that sent us reeling. But you have raised a banner for those who fear you— a rallying point in the face of attack. Interlude
Psalms 60:3‭-‬4 NLT

You have made your people suffer greatly; we stagger around as though we were drunk. You have warned those who have reverence for you, so that they might escape destruction.
Psalm 60:3‭-‬4 GNT

Check out the orthodox jewish bible translation;

(5) Thou hast showed Thy people kashah (hard times); Thou hast made us to drink the yayin of tarelah (bewilderment, reeling). (6) Thou hast set up a nes (banner) to them that fear Thee, that it may be unfurled on account of the truth. Selah.
Tehillim 60:3‭-‬4 OJB
https://bible.com/bible/130/psa.60.3-4.OJB (orthodox jewish bible)

Thou hast shewn Thy people a hard thing, Thou hast caused us to drink wine of trembling. Thou hast given to those fearing thee an ensign. To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. Selah.
Psalms 60:3‭-‬4 YLT1898
https://bible.com/bible/821/psa.60.3-4.YLT1898 (Young’s Literal Translation)

God’s right there with us, during time of pain, hardship, troubles, drunkenness…you name it. God is with us.

Under His Wing

He will cover you with his feathers . You will be safe under his wings . God will do what he promised. And he will be like big and small shields over you.
Psalms 91:4 EASY

When I was a little bitty kid I use to climb up onto the family sofa and snuggle up to my daddy. He’d lift up his arm and hold me tight saying, “I’ll tuck you under my wing.” I felt so safe. I knew nothing could get to me and if anything tried to bring me hard it would have to go through my dad. He faced my fears and conquered them.

If human hearts can offer this kind of comfort and security how much more can God our Father?

Mucked Up In The Muck

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39 NIV

Make no mistake, God is with us.

I feel like too often we use our times of pain, difficulty, confusion, and conflicting feelings as an indicator that God is not with us; or that He is far away.

God is with us always, especially in those darkest times of doubt, fear, and personal struggle.

I call on my Lord.

I trust Him alone, beetle

Classic Christian ROCK (my playlist on Amazon Music)

We recently made some cuts to our personal spending. One area we in which decided to save money was in some things we subscribe to that have monthly or yearly payments.

I finally reached a very descent playlist to songs that have always helped my faith, songs I grew up on, songs that continue to help me grow to this day.

Now with just amazon music, not “ultimate amazon” some of those songs are not available. Nonetheless, I want to keep a list of some of my favorite songs.
