I have 5 children. When they were really young on Christmas morn. I’d sit with a variety of little tools:
- Every style of screwdriver [Phillips, Flat Head & others I don’t even have a name for)
- Severaleral Allen Wrenches
- Scissors (just to open it)
- Ratchet set
- Duct Tape &
- Every size battery I knew of (C, D, 9v, AA, AAA).
I’m sure you can identify with how frustrating it is just to get through the unboxing just to find 52 twisty ties holding tiny parts in place as if the toys come to life & try to escape.
Also, too often the tiny plastic door holding shut an empty battery reservoir has screws with a head shape few screw drivers fit.
Much to my surprise there were occasions when the toy would not be assembled at all. Not only some assembly was required but complete assembly was required. It would take quite a bit of time to put it all together before working properly, let alone work at all.
For us to function well & enjoy life to its fullest what does God require?
Well, He tells us, He instructs us, in His Word
What he requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God.
Micah 6:7-8 GNT
When we truly fall in love with God our desires change & He transforms us.
As me grow in a relationship with Him we want to please Him more than ourselves.
So, one may ask what does God want?
Will the Lord be pleased if I bring him thousands of sheep or endless streams of olive oil? Shall I offer him my first-born child to pay for my sins? No, the Lord has told us what is good. What he requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God.
Micah 6:7-8 GNT
