To love or not to love

The current generation see everything from gay pride parades to religious fanatics bashing them in an attempt to protest those on parade.

With this in mind I shared the following in our home school Sunday school time with my own children…

God loves & cares for us, even when we are undeserving. He is kind to the unthankful & wicked (Luke 6:35 below)

All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.

You without sin throw the first stone.

If you say that you are without sin you are a lier. Keep in mind that being free from the slavery of sin is different from being without sin.

Grace is giving us what we don’t deserve (G.R.A.C.E. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense).

Mercy is, “Not giving us what we do deserve.”

Our forgiveness cost Christ everything and we should be showing others forgivness & love, regardless of if we agree with their life style or not. That is what Christ did & to be like Him we’ve gotta ask Him to help us love & forgive others who may not know any better, for whatever reason. Let’s focus on our relationship with Jesus Christ rather than tell everyone else where we think they should in their relationship to God.

We read Luke 23:32‭-‬34‭, ‬39‭-‬43 NLT and re-read

As Jesus hung dieing he said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!” But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
