Wanna Go Ride Bikes? (Acceptance)

I recall a wicked fight a best friend & I had when we were in middle school (preteens). We didn’t talk to each other for a whole day!

Then he asked, “Ya wanna go ride bikes?” That solved it. We were friends again.

It’s amazing how forgiving we can be when we are children.

Acceptance is sometimes more challenging.

There was another friend in the neighborhood who asked the same question; however, she was in a wheelchair! I knew what she meant. She smiled as I looked at her wheelchair. This one was made for speed. She then said, “I’ll race you!”

She did, and she won!!!

I’ve written about acceptance a lot because it is something I have to work on.

Based on a little longer detailed post on acceptance, here are the highlights for me:

Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake.

I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes.

We are all children of God and we each have a right to be here.

 Amen (may it be so).

Go with God, beetle
