Psalm 101 is Class 101

Every summer, when I’d get a break from the school year I would try to work on something. For instance, my mom quizzed me on multiplication with flash cards. Although I didn’t remember them all I did get some of them into my brain & recall them to this day.

It always helped when whatever I was working on I actually had an intrest in and it was something I enjoyed or loved, like all the major & minor scales in music. Then I discovered a whole bunch of other scales (blues, pentatonic & more).

We are never finished learning anything and I honestly believe the first real step to grasping anything is to have a desire, not just an obligation or important reason, like the reward we may gain, but an honest interest in getting to know something.

It is the same way with relationships and life. To truly accele & develop we must have more than just a reason, we must have a consistent drive from within us to stay faithful & committed.

As we progress through life God is right by our side & the more we desire, thirst, for Him to more He fulfills us, the more we learn & progress and the more we produce.

The more we focus on Him & the less we fixate on ourselves & this world the better off we become.

Who we hang out with & work for & with make a big difference too.

Psalm 101 is a sincere prayer that I make my own:

“My theme song is God’s love and justice, and I’m singing it right to you, God.

I’m finding my way down the road of right living, but how long before you show up?

I’m doing the very best I can, and I’m doing it at home, where it counts.

 I refuse to take a second look at corrupting people and degrading things.

I reject made-in-Canaan gods, stay clear of contamination.

 The crooked in heart keep their distance;

 I refuse to shake hands with those who plan evil.

 I put a gag on the gossip who bad-mouths his neighbor;

 I can’t stand arrogance.

 But I have my eye on salt-of-the-earth people— they’re the ones I want working with me; Men and women on the straight and narrow— these are the ones I want at my side.

But no one who traffics in lies gets a job with me; I have no patience with liars.

I’ve rounded up all the wicked like cattle and herded them right out of the country.

I purged God ’s city of all who make a business of evil.

May those of us who seek the Lord pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Let His will be done starting with us; giving our hearts to Him so “He can lead us, not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

“HIS IS The Kingdom, the power & the glory that goes well beyond this world, forever and ever amen.

In Christ, Beetle
