Getting In On what God Offers

As I’ve read The Message Bible over the years and few phrases stick out & I’ve jotted those down. This post is on verses that I noted refer to us “Getting In On What God Gives”.

This is packed full of verses. Don’t miss your chance to get in on what God offers, it cost no money, it is free, He only asks that we accept.

For those concerned that you can’t afford it or that your not worthy I hope you’ll come to understand that God gives us credit through His son, HE PAID THE DEBIT.

SO, come on & dig in to get in on what God is giving:

1st Peter 1:10-11
🔥The prophets who told us this was coming asked a lot of questions about this gift of life God was preparing.

The Messiah’s Spirit let them in on some of it—that the Messiah would experience suffering, followed by glory.

They clamored to know who and when.

All they were told was that they were serving you, you who by orders from heaven have now heard for yourselves—through the Holy Spirit—the Message of those prophecies fulfilled

Do you realize how fortunate you are?

Angels would have given anything to be in on this!

So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives.

Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now.

As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.”                          (1 Peter 1:10‭-‬16 MSG)

Matthew 16:15-18
🔥He pressed them, “And how about you? Who do you say I am?”

Simon Peter said, “You’re the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus came back, “God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn’t get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.

And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are.

You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. (Matthew 16:15‭-‬18 MSG)

2nd Corinthians 11:6
🔥It seems that if someone shows up preaching quite another Jesus than we preached—different spirit, different message—you put up with him quite nicely.

But if you put up with these big-shot “apostles,” why can’t you put up with simple me?

I’m as good as they are. It’s true that I don’t have their voice, haven’t mastered that smooth eloquence that impresses you so much.

But when I do open my mouth, I at least know what I’m talking about. We haven’t kept anything back. We let you in on everything.                 (2 Corinthians 11:4‭-‬6 MSG)

Ephesians 1:7-10                               🔥Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds.

And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!

He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making.

He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth. (Ephesians 1:7‭-‬10 MSG)

Ephesians 2:13                                    🔥But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ.

You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large.

Now because of Christ—dying that death, shedding that blood—you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything. (Ephesians 2:11‭-‬13 MSG)

2nd Thessalonians 2:13-14             🔥Meanwhile, we’ve got our hands full continually thanking God for you, our good friends—so loved by God!

God picked you out as his from the very start. Think of it: included in God’s original plan of salvation by the bond of faith in the living truth.

This is the life of the Spirit he invited you to through the Message we delivered, in which you get in on the glory of our Master, Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:13‭-‬14 MSG)

Romans 11:13-15                                 🔥But I don’t want to go on about them. It’s you, the outsiders, that I’m concerned with now.

Because my personal assignment is focused on the so-called outsiders, I make as much of this as I can when I’m among my Israelite kin, the so-called insiders , hoping they’ll realize what they’re missing and want to get in on what God is doing.

If their falling out initiated this worldwide coming together, their recovery is going to set off something even better: mass homecoming!

If the first thing the Jews did, even though it was wrong for them, turned out for your good, just think what’s going to happen when they get it right! (Romans 11:13‭-‬15 MSG)

Phillipines 3:10-11                             🔥I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it. (Philippians 3:10‭-‬11 MSG)

2nd Samuel 7:21                                 🔥King David went in, took his place before God , and prayed: “Who am I, my Master God , and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life?

But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow, my Master God !

What can I possibly say in the face of all this?

You know me, Master God , just as I am. You’ve done all this not because of who I am but because of who you are—out of your very heart!—but you’ve let me in on it. (2 Samuel 7:18‭-‬21 MSG)

👍You call out to God for help and he helps—he’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible Father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living.
Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God.

It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in.

He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know.

He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought.

Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you.

It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God. 1 Peter 1:17‭-‬21 MSG

God Settled The Relationship, at home with us – Titus 3:3 (“stepped in”) –It wasn’t so long ago that we ourselves were stupid and stubborn, dupes of sin, ordered every which way by our glands, going around with a chip on our shoulder, hated and hating back.

But when God, our kind and loving Savior God, stepped in, he saved us from all that.

It was all his doing; we had nothing to do with it.

He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit.

Our Savior Jesus poured out new life so generously.

God’s gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives.

And there’s more life to come—an eternity of life!

You can count on this. I want you to put your foot down. Take a firm stand on these matters so that those who have put their trust in God will concentrate on the essentials that are good for everyone

Stay away from mindless, pointless quarreling over genealogies and fine print in the law code. That gets you nowhere.

Warn a quarrelsome person once or twice, but then be done with him. It’s obvious that such a person is out of line, rebellious against God. By persisting in divisiveness he cuts himself off. Titus 3:3‭-‬8 MSG
