Feel Guilty When You Relax?

Are there times when we should be

strive ?

God has made a way for all of us to be immortal.

Immortality is searched for and desired by people around the world. Unfortunately people are not only mortal but immoral.

God knew we were never going to be able to present any sacrifice worthy of His glory.

He knew we will always fall short of His glory so he made a way for us.

He sent Himself in human form as a child, virgin birth, part man part God and yet because He was part God (without sin) He was THE ONLY pure sacrifice that would be acceptable.

Not only this, but this person, Jesus Christ, was able to conquer death by raising from the dead.

Hear Jesus saying,

My child, my child, why are you striving?  You can do one thing to add to what I’ve done for you?  I did it all when I was dieing. Rest in your faith, my peace will come to you.

Remember  after death, as promised,  I rose again.

Now, if you truly believe in ME, The Great I Am, you too will live on with me in the after life.

We shouldn’t feel that we have to always be doing something,  other than in what ever we do we praise The Lord.

Out of a greatful heart we live for Him for all He has done for us.

As I write this I thought to myself,  “most people must believe that there is some great supernatural being, a higher power of some sorts that put this whole world into existence.” Belief in a creator sure helps explain questions we all have. Even if a person doesn’t understand  “God” they must search for an answer to the unexplainable scientific stuff and things that happened.  I’ve spoken to some who believe things just happen, creation evolved from one big bang and from that point on everything we see now had just developed on its own some how. I’ve had friends say maybe God set it all up but now they feel that he or she has just stepped back and since creation just let things develop & form all on their own.

I don’t argue that with anyone. I respect other’s belief but I know for me I personally not only believe in One God who created everything not just because it explains things beyond human ability & explaination but because I seek a personal relationship with Him and find it.

He meets with me. I’m not some type of special person of interest or part of a chosen race I just realize, recognize  and humble myself and some how He touches me. He reaches me. In the same way you feel the wind on your face or have a gut reaction I sense my Creator speaking to my soul. I’ve simulated  or related to others that the effect God makes on my soul is like a person flying a kite or fishing, how do you know there is something on the other end? You feel the tug. As I pray and read my Bible I come to an understanding and feel God relates to me.

When you think back to Adam and Eve God gave them one main rule in the Garden of Eden,  to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

They broke that one rule.

Then as you move along a little further in the Bible you hear about Moses. He was given Ten Commandments. Those were and are still broken all the time.

As you jump to the New Testament you see that Jesus emphasizes all the Ten Commandments and also gives the greatest command, to love the Lord your God with all your heart & to love others as you love yourself.

It’s very interesting to develop a relationship with Christ because although the Commandments still exist and are important you find yourself obeying God out of love, like a love obligation.  You’re not just obeying him and a bunch of rules or commands just because you’re obligated to do so but because you love him and want to please him.

Obviously we should live pleasing to the Lord by trying to do things that spread the good news that He provides a way for us to experience salvation & eternal life but at the same time we need not be over active in trying to please God with deeds. He loves of regardless of out accomplishments or our failures.

That is a fact and it is by accepting His grace, His mercy, His forgiveness and His Righteousness that we please Him and enter into a relationship that will be carried on even after we die.

So relax a little. GOD’S responsible for your salvation, you just accept that, believe in Him, fall in love with Him & You’ll find rest, comfort & peace.

In Christ, Beetle

Just as I finished this post a great Christian brother of mine sent me a text that tied in perfect. He included this verse:

“Help to carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ.

If someone thinks he or she is somebody when really they are nobody, they are only deceiving themselves.

You should each judge your own conduct.

If it is good, then you can be proud of what you yourself have done, without having to compare it with what someone else has done

For we each have our own load to carry. Galatians 6:2‭-‬5 GNB

I also want to include these verses I found very helpful in reminding me that it is God who “set things right” & has made it possible for us to have a relationship with Him, that way is not made by man.

Jesus is the way, the truth & the life.

I will probably do *another post on just this but as I read “The Message” Bible over time I note all the verses I come across that point out God “set things right”.

Here is what I found:

Is. 2:5; 30:18; 35:4; 42:1-4; 45:23; 51:6; 56:1

Jer. 9:23; 23:6; 51:10

Dan. 9:15

Ezek. 34:22

Ps. 9:3-4&7-9; 11:1-7; 75:2; 97:6

Mt. 3:5; 6:7-13

Lk. 11:2-4

Ro. 1:16-17; 10:1-10

2nd Co. 3:12-18 (no veil see for yourself)

Gal. 2:16-17; 3:8,12

Phil. 3:20-21

Heb. 7:19; 8:7-13

Always remember Jesus paid the debit. Jesus Makes things right, we just need to accept Him ( fall in love with Him, let Him truly be Lord).
