As I read Psalm 27 I thought about Psalm 23.
Ever recall back to Elementary School, people asking you what you want to be when you grow up or where you want to live?
As I pray, Lord let Your Kingdom come & let Your will be done, I honestly ask, on earth as it is in heaven.
As we call & trust in The Lord we know in Him & by Him our final resting place will be with Him but let us not forget we can dwell in Him & Him in us (under His Lordship & Kingdom Rules) while we are here on earth as well in heaven after we die.
Here are some selected verses from Psalm 27 followed by Psalm 23:
The one thing I ask of the Lord — the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord ’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.
Psalms 27:4 NLT
Hear me as I pray, O Lord . Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “ Lord , I am coming.” Psalms 27:7-8 NLT
Teach me how to live, O Lord . Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the Lord ’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.
Wait patiently for the Lord . Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Psalms 27:11-14 NLT
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:1-6 NLT
In Christ, Beetle
God give hope for restoration.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalms 16:11 NLT
This world will fall short but our hope is in our Heavenly Father, not mother earth.
