Why are some “Christans” such Jerks??!!

Self-control is part of the fruit of The Holy Spirit that Spirit should be alive & well, living in us who bare the name of Christ.

Christian means =
(Used as an adjective)
derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings
 pertaining tobelieving in
exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus ChristChristlike—used as a noun:
a person who exemplifies in his or her life the teachings of Christ

People can try to live like  Christ but will never be able to until they surrender & let His Spirit live in them.

Note: When considering “The fruit (produce, bloom, proof, outcome) of The Holy Spirit”, the fruit no “s” at the end (it is singular not plural)

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.
(Like a “G.P.S.” HE is God’s provisional Spirit)

New behavior,  choices, desires & actions are hard to explain when ask, “why are you different than you use to be?”
“It’s A Spirit Thing”

When we allow Christ’s Spirit  (God The Spirit,  The Holy Spirit) come into us, He develops a new life, slowly but surely if we allow Him, He does with us what He does with a catapillar in a cacoon.

A ‘metamorphosis’ takes place & we come out different like a butterfly, changes from a catapillar.

Then we won’t be doing what our sinful nature craves. But when we are directed by the Spirit, we are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

Now that video was cut short of seeing what merges from that shell but we all know how beautiful a butterfly is. It has wings, without drinking “Red Bull”!

It is a whole, completely different creature.

When Christ’s Spirit comes in & takes over we become Jesus possessed.

I know that sounds weird, but that is what happens when we honestly & whole heartedly admit we are not God & we need Him.

He comes in & if we let Him,  He takes over for His good.

So you may ask,

Why are some “Christans” such jerks and so argementative?

Is God, Christ,  The Holy Spirit like that?

The desires of the flesh are opposed to the Holy Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature);

for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free

but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.
(That is what it is like when people are still hanging onto to what they know & their NATURE, THEIR OWN spirit is still in control)

if you are guided (led) by the Holy Spirit, you are not subject to the Law. Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),
Galatians 5:17-20 AMP

Note: insisting on your own ways (even if you think your ways are God’s ways –See Isaiah 55) are

still the old flesh getting in the way, not God’s ways of life,

that is not God’s ways of “winning over others or each other” to Him.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
🍇 love,
🍇gentleness, and
There is no law against these things!
Galatians 5:16, 18-19, 22-23 NLT
(Follow link to take you to Galatians 5 to see list of things our flesh ‘produces’ and things His Holy Spirit ‘produces’

Note: all fruit is one, singular, and must be connected to the vine (John 15 link Jesus says I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser…
YOU are the branches….we have to (must) be connected to the vine.
CHRISTAN (Connected,  associated with Christ)

Note: cannot produce on our own, we must have on intimate ‘relationship’ with Christ,  be connected to “Him -the vine”.

Look back at Gal. 5 one more time…
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
Galatians 5:24-26 NLT
(Like movie “Weekend At Burnie’s” -don’t play & pretend & force dead body to look & act like it is still alive.
Once The same Spirit the  raised Christ from the dead comes into us we are regenerated.
We are possessed by His Spirit & have  New Life now, dead to sin.)

(Explanation  – rich guy dies, 2 men afraid they will get blame so do all they can to manipulate this dead body to convince everyone else he is still alive -how we, who are dead to sin, may try to bring back to life our old ways,
play games,
go along with what the world offers…

rather than enjoy freedom in Christ,  in joy life & give Him the glory for all the great things we can enjoy in this life (pools, drink, food, games, go to the ocean and enjoy the great outdoors.

That kind of “nature” is enjoyed more when we have a New Nature inside and we can know that heaven is going to be even more beautiful but we must

1.] Die spiritually (God’s will taking over our wil)

2.] Know that it is after that eventually we die  physical  but we enter into the “afterlife” as we call it, Heaven.

So, be alive to Christ & dead to yourself,  don’t insist on your own ways, even if you know you’re living for God, be Christ-like,  remembering He alone is the judge.

He does not need us doing “quality control” determining what other Christian’s should be like or how “right with God” unbelievers need to be.

That is The Holy Spirit’s Job to work with them from the inside out.

Our job is to let His loving kindness shine through and simply “plant seeds” not insist that other’s relationship with The Heavenly Father looks like our relationship with Him.

In Christ,

If this post struck a chord with you or grasped your spinal cord go to:
Jesus Loves You, Everyone Else Thinks You Are A Jerk.

Let’s get right & go home. Boycott Hell by being kind to others & each other.

…May we all come together…
