The main menu of my blog contains a page with all post giving Biblical & personal answers on “Who is God?”
We often have a misperception of how to witness or testify to others.
The thought came to me to, look at how Jesus (our best example) did it . . .
Journal #55C note:
Look👓 at Jesus encounter with Zach & Zach’s encounter with Christ :
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.
So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him,
“Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”
So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
All the people saw this and began to mutter,
“He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,
“Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
Jesus said to him,
“Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Luke 19:1-10 NIV
Zach went to extreme to see.
Jesus stops, calls by name, goes to his house.
Zach had Jesus over.
We read nothing of what Jesus said to Zach. Other than calling him by name then saying, “come down, I’m going to your house today.”
If we needed to know what He said & how He said it there would be a record of it, it would be written.
Everything we need to know & more is written for us.
i am learning to be more & more possessed by The Holy Spirit, filled to the point of overflowing, so that as i simply spend time with people and get to know them before i say one ‘word’ about Christ & sharing what i know of Him from my personal relationship.
In doing this i get to know where they stand what they believe & how deep or shallow their faith is.
Sometimes i come to find out i am the one who is shallow.
Now, this is my personal journal/log entry so this is not a post on how to witness. i just want to point out how Jesus did it. He is a far better example then i am.
Something to think about.
In Christ, Christ in me,
