There is a lot we don’t know about God.
In one of my journals I have many verses from God’s Word, especially Ecclesiastes and Isaiah, that remind us that we don’t know all there is about God.
He is a mystery that we only get a glimpse of.
Some people may not even believe His word.
In my encounter with people who don’t believe they tell me their lack of belief (faith) comes from their encounter with people who claim to believe & know about God but are rude, condisending & argumentative toward them. The last thing they see is acceptance
(SEE POST “ACCEPTANCE” ).
Personally i admit i do not know all about God & His way, His plan but rather i am on a journey, just like they are.
It seems to be when people become an “Athority” of God that is when God no longer shines through but man’s nature is all others see.
Far be it that we admit that
we don’t know the condition of someone’s soul
if we don’t admit that then
God is far from anything we may try to do in His name.
This troubles me.
i really believe all heaven just weeps when people (us humans) play God, in trying to be Christ-like we act like we are Christ (the One & Only Judge) rather than one of His children.
i love when i see a child trusting their Heavenly Father and treating others they meet like that person is also a child, obedient or not they are still a child.
CHRIST ALONE WILL JUDGE THEIR OBEDIENCE TO HIM.
We are just to LOVE Him & LOVE them as He LOVED us in our worse condition.
People may never come to know God’s unconditional love through us as long as we put conditions on people rather than love them,
just the way they are.
We act as if we are “The Father”, “The Good Shepherd” (Jn. 10) or “The Head” when all HE (The Head) wants is for us to be is the body.
We are Sheep, leaders are not The Good Shepherd, if anything other than sheep they are just sheep dogs, dogs of peace, guiding people toward the gate & the Shepherd (see John 10, no one is ‘the Shepherd’ but God, no one is ‘the gate’ but Christ).
Back to Isaiah 55
Consider that you & i do not know
God’s plan for each person just as we don’t know how each plant in a garden will do (if it will even sprout, if it is already in full bloom and not going to grow any more, if it needs to be left alone or if it needs our attention at all…we leave that up to it’s environment and ‘care for it’ but don’t over water it or over furtilize it…if we do we will kill it.
Just as we trust it’s true creator to cause it to grow so also we need to step back & let HIM (the creator) give it growth & cause it to bloom.
WE ARE JUST FARMERS
We are just farmers, we gently, with great care (maticulously & methodically) plow, plant the seed, water it but then we let GOD use the environment & His ability to let it growth.
What farmer would grab the seed planted (by him or another farmer) and dig it up insisting that it grow or produce like the other plants that are ready for harvest???
No, leave it alone, who do you think you are?
Each farmer is to just plant & water NOT INSIST ON GROWTH, that part is God’s job, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, we really can not fully understand how He causes spiritual growth any more than we can understand how He grows things in the physical realm.
Do we under estimate God’s power
& insist that without our over involvement people will not fall in love with Him?
That is really what it is all about, not knowing everything there is to know about God, but rather, not knowing much but knowing that He loves us & we love Him.
Each person’s relationship with God is between them & Him, who are we to butt in, nose in, & think they are not right with Him unless they conform to the same relationship we have with Him & what He calls us to do and be?
Again i say, we are just farmers, we spread His word like seed…
Notice it is God Himself, not us not our words, we are just a mouthpiece or again, the farmer who plows (provides a place to plant seeds) who may place the seed (plant it in someone’s heart) but He (God) does the rest, we don’t need to shove more seeds in (thinking, ‘oh, the more i put in this same spot, the more things will grow’) No, 1 seed is enough.
Just plant or water.
That is it. God will bring the rain, the storms, the sun, the drought, what ever He may will.
