Developing a river relationship (link between Jn.4 & Jn.7)

*Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
John 7:17 NIV

Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”
John 7:24 NIV

**NOTE: look @ context (surroundings)

At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask,

“Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill? Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?
John 7:25-26 NIV

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.

**Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

On hearing his words, some of the people said, “Surely this man is the Prophet.”  Others said, “He is the Messiah.” Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee? Thus the people were divided because of Jesus.
John 7:37-41, 43 NIV

NOTE: Divided, just like people in Churches around the world. Some in the very same Church buildings. “Not on the same page, not in agreement with the pages of scripture. Not in one accord, one faith, one doctrine, one creed, one mission.” (All a requirement of being filled as a body in Christ – Acts 2)

It has to come down to, “who do you” say JESUS CHRIST is.

– think back to John 4 & the woman at the well

….Jesus took time to speak to her, while she was still a sinner, considered a woman who righteous men wouldn’t normally talk to….

….Just before He shows her HE knows everything thing about her & the history of how God was developing people to remember Him & worship Him, just like in John 7:37-38, HE offers her living water,
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered,

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,  but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
John 4:13-14 NIV

NOTE: Christ shares with her what we have available today in this day & age…
Jesus said,

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
John 4:23-24 NIV

So, once again it is up to you, don’t wait until Sunday.

Don’t wait until the group you gather with gets to be larger, better, Kinder, filled with all ‘the right kind’ of people.

Don’t wait until you’re doing all the right things & no longer doing things you’re not sure if God likes or doesn’t like.

Don’t wait until you’re pleased with others or other are pleased with you…

Now is the time to get a taste & see how this living water (Christ) is.

My prayer;  “Father, daddy in heaven, may The Spirit of Your Son Jesus Christ be like a river flowing in and through my life spilling out on those around me.
I pray this the name of The Lord Jesus Christ Your only Son for the sake of Your Holy Spirit
