“Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks you’re a jerk!”

I wish I could take credit for that title.

Jesus loves you,
everyone else thinks
you’re a jerk

It was a bumper sticker i saw years ago.

I get it
If you don’t get it you will want to read this post.

My son, Alexx, shared some thoughts on:
1 Thessalonians 2:8

” we loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.”

It is a key part of living a Christ-like life to spread your understanding to others but I takes a lot more then reading people the bible to truly spead God’s Good News.

I think we have all met that person that is ‘too Christian’, sure they have good intentions, but let’s be honest they are hard to be around.

This is because they aren’t sharing their personal walk with you but just sharing God with you.

Dont get me wrong there is a lot of good in sharing God but a true Christ-like life applies God to reality.

Jesus was always personable and made a point of being a friend before being a preacher.

We need to share the Good News but we also need to share the good life it has granted us.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Special tnx to Alexx, you can visit his blog at:

  1. Ironically as I wrote this I’m partially paralyzed finding my legs will not bear my weight.

As I read over the post, to edit it the best that I can, I listen closely to the words in the video of the song by DC Talk, “what if I stumble what if I fall”.

I’ve literally have to crawl anywhere I’m going right now not able to even sit in a wheelchair (sciatic nerve pinched…sitting is not my friend right now)

But despite my physical infirmities my spiritual foundation in Christ Jesus my Lord stands strong.

So, even as I lay on my back I still take a stand for God in Jesus name and for Christ’s sake.

    Possessed by HIS Holy Spirit,
