TomBeetle Bailey, “Thank you Edward W. Finch III. What is the point? -i was going to post another scripture verse but i thought, what is the point.”

TomBeetle Bailey, “Here is another passage, don’t let the point be missed, it is sharper than any two edged sword.https://tombeetlebailey.wordpress.com/…/i-once-was-blind/

Love this recording! Read the whole passage with 20/20 vision, 20 verse before 20 verses after. This…

Edward W. Finch III

Edward W. Finch III said, “No, I mean I don’t know where you are going with this. There is a lot of different takes on thi.”

TomBeetle Bailey replied, “Amen brother.”

Edward W. Finch III clarified further, “Tom, I mean I don’t understand what you are trying to get at. There’s a bunch of things we can take away from this passage. What one were you trying to share?”

I was not trying to be a smart aleck (Alexx is my son’s name) HE is a smart Alexx, not a smart aleck, most of the time too). I was not trying to be a prick in Edward’s skin, i was simply watching and participating in this conversation with a well respected Christ-like brother and watching what the Lord was unfolding before my eyes…

TomBeetle Bailey

TomBeetle Bailey continued with, “oh, i understand, i was just putting it out there for the whosoever to take what ever God wanted to say to them personally. I know what you mean, i think too often i put my interpretation and my own commentary so this one i just put out there and let it stand on its own. I know at different times the same passages say something different to me than it did last time i read it too. What was the most significant thing God said to you this time? btw miss you brother.”

The next day or so i wrote again….
TomBeetle Bailey:  “Edward W. Finch III, you still out there buddy? Almost every times i read this passages it says something different to me than it did last time i read. Sometimes i put myself in the shoes of the different people mentioned in this account. I try to bring it to life like you did with The Journey to Bethlehem!! for so many years. What was the most significant thing God said to you this time?”

This was all shared on FB for the world to see but i wanted to do a post about it too because it just seemed too good not to share. We learn so much and are stimulated or encouraged  by others around us in so many good ways.

i’ll do another post sometime about the SCS (spinal Cord Stimulator the doctors talked about implanting in me another time) but this conversation with Ed on FB was so good.

Ed is a great man and i have seen Jesus in him, he is not one to throw stones. His comments stimulated me, they were not intended to be like someone throwing stones at me  or to question me to entrap my nerves or my character (as was the case  with the Pharisees  mentioned in the passage provided) second look…TomBeetle Bailey's photo.

Ed’s comment/question was to spur me on and get others to think about this passage. Ed was and is not a thorn in my flesh (2 Co. 12:1-21). Ed is not a prick to be kicked against  (Acts 9:5; Acts 26:14 ).

Ed wasn’t goading me on (Goads or prick whichever word you prefer).

He wasn’t trying to ‘get my goat or be a goat. Ed is not a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a weed among the wheat. Ed was helping and pulling it out of me. He read the verse and as he said, “There’s a bunch of things we can take away from this passage. What one were you trying to share?”

i copy and pasted this here because i thought it said a lot and was worth considering. Even him stimulating me in a positive way is worth considering, i call it “potential post” material. This, in my opinion is “blog worthy”. We use to say, “that’ll preach!” and there is a message even in our conversation.

Lately even in the middle of a conversation i include Jesus, out loud. While the person is talking and i am listening, really listening and then it is my turn to give feedback or my turn to participate in the 2 way conversation or small group conversation i include the Heavenly Father. He has been listening even more intent than either of us anyway. This works well, especially if the conversations i am in involve needing His supernatural power, why not call on Him and ask, out loud for help and more often than not the others in the small group of the 2 of you in that conversation join in agreement and many of us know what happens when 2 or more gather in His name. WOW! Praise God.

Quick side note, next time my conversation turns into more gossip than venting or healthy concerns i say, let’s include our heavenly father with this conversation, like i said, he’s been listening any way and i pray for the person or situation we are talking about. Example,

“Heavenly father, you know Harry (person’s name or concern we are bickering about) we lift them/that situation/circumstances up to you just now. ” ….then there is dead air and i pray/say out loud,

“Abba Father, daddy, you are listening, we acknowledge that. We are listening to you”   ….a little more dead air because i really am listening to the Spirit that very often speaks with a whisper….

“Master, speak to our hearts. Listen to our hearts.”

Many times the other person says, “amen” with me or we continue on in the conversation and now rather than just the 2 of us we’ve invited the savior in and keep Him in the conversation.

…i don’t like dead air because unless there is some type of sound or talking i just feel uncomfortable BUT, when i am listening and opening myself up to what i truly believe His living word says i change. I am very comforted. This dead air is silence to us but it give His (Christ’s) Holy Spirit a chance to more and touch us.

I don’t fully know how He works but i know He works (Is.55)

Again, i copy and pasted this here because i thought it said a lot and was worth considering.

Who has time to read in detail all that God has for us? How has time to have a conversation with anybody anytime? Who has time to breathe?

I DO, but i notice that i have to

MAKE the time, pay attention to the little things

other little things try to choke out those moments.

Big things that seem to matter and are

OH SO IMPORTANT

THAT SHOUT FOR OUR ATTENTION AND IMMEDIATE ACTION

sometimes prevent all of us

from seeing many things

God almighty is

whispering.

I may add more in comment section if the conversation continues but let me also encourage you to ENGAGE (ENGAGE part of R.E.S.T.ing F.R.O.G.) in this conversation.
We have the opportunity to share with each other and others, maybe even be called upon to defend someone who is about to be convicted. What do we do?
All we can do, explain that only Christ can forgive and HE is all that matters and once we get HIS forgiveness, go and sin no more.

  1. Beautifully The Holy Spirit worked in and thru Ed again about 49 min (to be exact) after i posted this. On FB Ed continued with this,

“That Jesus tells us to go and “sin no more.” Constant struggle with that personally (and there will always be as long as I am in the flesh) but I am really frustrated by the fact that he gives the command to all sinners (all of us) and so many Christians don’t have the slightest clue. Personal holiness is not even on their radar. You can’t get the Spirit without the Holy (his not ours – but when we have his it reflects in our lives), No wonder the church lacks power today, they’ve disconnected themselves from the wall socket. Miss you, too.”

While Ed was typing this i was in our chapel in prayer, just had to stop everything and take the time alone and quite before God, no better place than a chapel.

As i knelt at the altar i looked up and listened with my eyes and heart open. The beautiful evergreen has an angel at the top. Each light on the tree remins me of other believers, Christ-like people (those who truly believe and are allowing Him to bein and shine tru them) Ed is christ-like. I have known him for several years but was only geographically close to him for about a 2 year time period (Global Family Fellow Shipe Church in Clearwater and The Journey To Bethleham 2008-2009 for me.) My new born daughter Abbey played the part of Jesus one year, will try to post pic. in this comment section if i can figure out how.

The angel, on top for the tree changed colors nice and slow as i prayer and watched it. I noticed the ceiling above it “REFLECTED” those same colors.

The ceiling does not give off light by itself but it is able to reflect any light that is casted on it. What an answer to prayer, what a conversation i had with The Holy Spirit. Imagine if He speaks “thru the ceiling” like that to me how much more he can and does use a friend and His word to speak to me and encourage me so i can reflect on HIM then just reflect HIM. GO TO: RESTING FROG

How beautiful to know we can reflect God’s charracteristics and nature and compassion, HIS pure light.

We can. However, like Ed expressed,

“so many Christians don’t have the slightest clue. Personal holiness is not even on their radar. You can’t get the Spirit without the Holy (his not ours – but when we have his it reflects in our lives), No wonder the church lacks power today, they’ve disconnected themselves from the wall socket. Miss you, too.”

i agree in the Name of Jesus Christ.

  2. The picture of Abbey will have to be put in the post above, for those reading the comments (hearing impaired) or those listening to the comments (for those visually impaired) Now you will literally picture (in your head if not able just now with your eyes) me dressed as Joseph, playing his part, holding a little baby, playing the part of Jesus.

Ed headed up a great Journey to Bethlehem (a live out door presentation portraying the Journey Mary and Joseph made to Bethlehem. go to: https://www.facebook.com/JourneyToBethlehem/timeline
for a virtual tour pictures and more. Those were some grand days and such a blessing to be part of for me and my family.

One night running late we laughed be cause some one shouted, “Jesus Mary and Joseph, we didn’t think you were going to make it! We’ve been expecting you!”

How nice it was to be part of a body of believers who invited Christ to be part of their Christian gathering. How nice that they accepted HIM and because of that accepted me and my family and friends and they didn’t keep Jesus in their minds and hearts as a baby but let HIM mature in them and their personal lives!

    NOW,
Imagine if rather than rowing the stones at the accused they started playing catch with the stones…..knowing they were not worthy to be the judge themselves and playing catch is not only fun it says, hey your my new friend and we can be childlike, not childish and when i toss you a stone, rather than pelt it at you you can toss it back and we’ll have fun, until bicycles are invented then we’ll do that TOGETHER!”
