Bigger Moving Picture -All The World’s A Stage

Rush put out a live album called

To my knowledge it was their first full live album (recording) -i could be wrong. But i recall as a teen it featured some of their best songs up to that date AND one of the best drum solos i ever heard.

The Drummer, “Neil Peart”, is known as a true drum legend. He is arguably one of the best in the world. I would personally say, 1 of the best. ANYWAY, He writes all the lyrics for the songs but occasional gives credit to other authors, Poets, philosophers who’s work inspires him.

Their song “Limelight” hits on the thought that we are all actors, merely players in this world. Here is a note a friend of mine sent me one time that ties into this concept and takes it where i needed to go.

Shakespeare said, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” He forgot to mention that I was the chief critic. I was always able to see the flaw in every person, every situation. And I was always glad to point it out, because I knew you (God) wanted perfection, just as I did. Acceptance has taught me that there is a bit of good in the worst of us and a bit of bad in the best of us; that *we are all children of God and we each have a right to be here. When I complain about me or about you, I am complaining about God’s handiwork. I am saying that I know better than God.  This solution came out of the book, Alcoholics Anonymous pg. 417.  If this tugs on your heart go to: My Acceptance Letter

*We are all God’s Children but some are disobedient Children but we are not the Father and have no right to determine who needs a time out or punishment. This is why i say, sure it is hard for you also to Kicking Against The Pricks but learn when to kick and take a stand not tolerating sin around you (the sin not the sinner) but also i am learning when & “HOW TO STOP KICKING AGAINST THE PRICKS”.  No longer accusing anyone and casting the stone or blame saying, “You made me do it!

I think Shakespeare nailed it when he said, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Some are critic but welcome to the world…try to learn with me to enjoy your stay and make it a better performance for the author and finisher of our faith.

There is no single song by Rush called “All The World Is a Stage”.  Below in the comment section you will find a youtube video of the whole album.

Perhaps this post will help you next time you are in the Limelight.
