Mode Of Transportation

cropped-mode-of-transportation-pro-pic.png

It was April 2nd 2012. I was on a small 50cc scooter (my main mode of transportation at the time). Every thing changed that early morning when i  was hit from behind by a 1975 Ford f150 pick-up truck going 65mph. Due to a head injury i do not recall this happening but the police report said that my body rode on the hood while the truck left 162 feet of skid markings on the road; then i flew off. From what i understand the flying thru the air is not what caused my injuries, it was the landing that packed the real punch.

The next day i found myself in the hospital, my wife was taking good care of me and my older children came to visit. When asking me how i was i replied, “i feel like i’ve been hit by a truck!” After chuckling they assured me with a smile and tears in their eyes, “You were!!!”

Since the accident i have had several surgeries, my left side was temporarily paralyzed and i had to learn to walk again. Although recently (3 years later) some of the symptoms have returned (Herniated disk and sciatic nerve problems)  i am finding ways to continue to live my life for what God has called to do, preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I still have my Jesus Saves Tattoo,

That is permanent.

I am still filled with the fire of The Holy Spirit

I have been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ since God got a hold of me back in 1982.

I have been on recordings, vinyl, cassettes, C.D.s and Mp3. I’ve “typed” numerous articles and sermons (on an instrument called a typewriters). I have shared one on one over a cup of coffee and sometimes a full meal with a person living on the streets . Yeah, as i look back over the years i have used many means of transportation in my life. The simplest action or object can be modes of transportation to convey what Christ has done in my life and what He wants to do for the world (Soup, Soap and Salvation). Do you have a mode of transportation that speaks to you or that you use to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, a way of sharing your relationship with Him?

Most recently, due to my injuries returning in an attempt to stop me in my tracks, i have found that the internet offers a huge highway that travels world wide.

The internet allows us to cross over the seas, send a message to places i may never visit. While in a small town in mexico i saw rows and rows of shacks made from scraps of wood and tin people were able to gather here and there and outside of every one of those makeshift homes was a satellite dish. They are able to send and receive entertainment, information, instruction, knowledge and more.

The world wide web has caught some people like a spider’s death trap, however; i want to use it as a mode to transport the good news that Christ Jesus suffered and died and rose again, conquering death, so that whosoever believes in (accepts) Him will be filled with the power of His Holy Spirit, possessed by Him, becoming His possession.

What a difference He makes in our lives!

Like the song;

He paid the debit He did not owe, i owed a debit i could now pay.

I needed someone to wash my sins away.

And now i sing a brand new song, Amazing Grace, the whole day long

Christ Jesus paid a debit that i could never pay.

This brings another song to my mind and heart, “Jesus Paid It All”

Christ Jesus is my Super Savior!

So, Although i have had many oppositions in my life they have always provided me with an opportunity; thus explaining tattoo on my wrist, the mandarin symbol for our one word HOPE is two words for them, opposition and opportunity.

Just as those tattoos are permanent so also are the truths we find in the gospel of Jesus Christ and His word.

Sure, I’m temporarily unable to do some things; drive a van to pick people up for Church, walk though a neighborhood, run a marathon to raise money…so what can i do? SURF! I am Surfing the web for Jesus sake as a social media soldier (go to Social Media Soldier Channel for more info or see comments below). You may not drive to visit me, i may not drive to come visit where you live but through my blog, and posting it for the world to read, this is my mode of transportation and i hope to reach as many as possible with this life changing news and the knowledge of God’s saving grace.

May God add His blessing as you read His word and i pray that the words of my mouth, the actions of my life, the meditation of my heart  and the things i write and share may be acceptable as a living sacrifice to Jesus Christ my Lord, savior and master, in His name and for His sake

Amen

Share in the comment and reply section below your mode of transportation or the mode of transportation that reached you.  God has even used the band RUSH as a mode of transportation for me (click on  RUSH  to see how).

I was formerly a drummer now i am just an Instrument.

For post where i used songs from the band RUSH as a mode of transportation go to: Moving Pictures.
And here are some other modes of transportation to consider:

  15. At the very end of this video you hear a band member explain things a little more clearly about Rock ‘N Roll’ being a mode of transportation:

I’ve been saying, God uses all types for things, forms (style of) music, stories, happenings, tragedies, pricks and even people as a mode of transportation to reach us.
When to kick and not kick against the pricks index

The above song was a mode HE used to reach me and continues to use to reach me, if you can get past the container (80’s hair and classic rock ‘ roll) you will also hear what The Sustainer (God) is saying.

Another post i did on the Peculiar People Pageant (https://tombeetlebailey.wordpress.com/2015/11/20/peculiar-people-pagent/)
emphasises how HE uses ‘all kinds”.

Also i reblogged a Steve Simm’s post on how God uses ordinary people. GO TO: (https://tombeetlebailey.wordpress.com/2015/10/29/spirit-led-church-where-ordinary-people-are-the-playmakers/)
