It is not something we like to even consider or think about but how hard it is on us when a child dies.
I recall a close friend who is also a pastor saying, “at one funeral I did for a child I didn’t know what to say other than, Jesus loves the little children”
Here is a very comforting verse, passage, text. David mourned the loss of his child but realized life for him had to go on and that if he was truly a man after God’s own heart he would go to be with that child again.
Note this text:
2 Sam 12:22-23 He answered, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, ‘Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.’
23 But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”
Note conformation that when a innocent child dies they go on to heaven, we cannot bring them back again but we can go to be with them. This is an old testament passage, B.C. (Before Christ) but David knew that God makes a way for us.
We can know without a doubt that Salvation, being saved from death and this old world, is a gift from God. I accept that gift and offer it to others as well. Not everyone will accept it. Here is a video of the famous illusionist PENN. He still doesn’t believe in Christ, the gospel of Christ, let alone in God that the Old Testament speaks of but he appreciated that some one who does believe that shared it with him. Please take a moment to watch this and consider, are you telling people you come into contact with? Are we sharing what we know personally about Salvation with those we care about? Are your lights on? (another blog)
